Hearts Trio To Miss Celtic Game As Steven Naismith Speaks On Vargas Baningime

Hearts trio to miss Celtic game as Steven Naismith speaks on Vargas & Baningime

Olly Lee, James Hill and Liam Boyce miss out as Cammy Devlin returns to training

Hearts assistant head coach Steven Naismith has provided an injury update ahead of the Premiership clash with Celtic on Wednesday night.

Naisy confirmed that trio Olly Lee, James Hill and Liam Boyce will all miss the trip to Glasgow.

However, there was some positive news on the injury front as Cammy Devlin returned to training on Monday.

Naismith said: "Unfortunately Olly Lee will miss out again. He's had a bit of soreness in his Achilles.

"James Hill had a bit of a reaction after the Berwick game so we've been cautious with him and rested him.

"Liam Boyce is still progressing and building up his fitness. We're hopeful he'll be available for the weekend."

The assistant boss also gave an update on Jorge Grant, who missed the win over Hibernian with a neck injury.

"Jorge has missed the last couple of days of training," Naismith added. "We'll assess him again tomorrow and we'll make a decision then."

There was better news on the fitness of Cammy Devlin, who has been out since August with a hamstring injury.

"Cammy trained yesterday for the first time," Naismith said. "He's still a little bit away but it's great to have him back on the pitch."

Hearts head to Celtic Park on the back of a 3-1 win over Hibernian in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

Naismith knows it will be a tough test but is confident his team can get a result.

"It's going to be a difficult game," he said. "Celtic are a very good team.

"But we're in good form ourselves and we're confident we can go there and get a result."
